Today, you will be making a blog to store your written work. We will make one for each subject that we are studying. I feel it is a lot easier to store written work on an online site to share with me and your classmates, rather than just e-mailing it. A blog is a website that you can use to share ideas and thoughts with people, but in our case, we will use it to share our work and to help each other out in our writing. Later, we will work in small groups to write and edit our papers. I will get to that later as we get closer to it.

Let's just say that blogging is a great way for self discovery and insha'Allah, this will be one of the goals for this school year =). Feel free to explore my site.

Anyway, to make your own, go to http://www.blogger.com and sign in with your gmail account. If you do not have a gmail account, now is your chance to make one. Once you make your gmail account, send me an e-mail to learnsmart007@gmail.com with your new email address.
Once you sign into blogger.com, you will click on "create a blog". You will give your blog a title and also a blog address. You can pick whatever address you want as long as I have have some way of knowing that it's yours.
Then you will pick a template. Click on "start blogging" and you're done. Write a blog entry about what you like about the classes so far. Also tell me what worries you or what you do not like.
Just a reminder, we will be making a blog page for each of our core classes. Don't worry, I will explain and guide you step by step when we get to it.
Once you are done, spend some time playing with your blog. Customize it and make it your own. This will be your friend for the next year, so have fun with it (BUT KEEP IT APPROPRIATE)
